Who We Are

ABOUT Downtown Tipp City Partnership

WHO WE ARE...

Downtown Tipp City Partnership is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a National Trust for Historic Preservation and Heritage Ohio organization. The DTCP is the leading advocate for downtown business and property owners. We directly serve the business owners, property owners, and residents of Downtown Tipp City Partnership, but our work also impacts the surrounding community and visitors. A healthy, active, economically strong town center supports stable property values, good schools, and civic involvement throughout the City, not just in the downtown area.

WHERE WE ARE...

Tipp City is located in the Southwest corridor of Ohio about 15 miles North of downtown Dayton in Miami County. Located just North of I-70 off of I-75, we are nestled in a charming community of unique shopping, dining and recreational activities.

Many people work hard to make the Downtown Tipp City Partnership a great success. The Board of Directors consists of nine seats, with representatives from City Council, City Government, Tipp Monroe Community Services, the Tipp City Chamber, local business owners and residents. We bring diverse groups and individuals together to make things happen in the downtown.

THE BENEFITS OF DTC

The health of downtown is at the very heart of the quality of life within a community. A prosperous, attractive downtown business district becomes a visible barometer for the well-being of the entire community. We follow the Main Street four point approach to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort.

DTCP will address issues to see that the needs of downtown business and property owners are met. Our efforts keep the downtown area as the center of community events and activities for all Tipp City residents and visitors to enjoy.

Charitable contributions to the DTCP benefit the vibrancy of downtown, such as increased property values, continuous occupancy of buildings, access to grants and special funds for building improvements, and a bright future for Tipp City. Partners are invited to serve on the Board of Directors, as committee members and as event or project volunteers.

AN INCUBATOR FOR NEW BUSINESS

A viable downtown offers opportunities and incentives for new entrepreneurs such as space availability, business planning and development.

ATTRACTS ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING

Downtown reflects the overall image a community projects to potential investors. An invigorated downtown makes a very positive statement about the whole community.

PROVIDES A POINT OF FOCUS AND STABILITY

A vibrant downtown gives the whole community and region a sense of pride and positive self-image. It serves as an anchor for the community providing stability necessary for economic growth.

PERSERVES THE COMMUNITY’S HISTORICAL FABRIC

In a healthy downtown, property owners are more willing to invest in and maintain historic commercial buildings, thereby preserving an important part of the community’s and Tipp City’s heritage.

IMPROVES ECONOMIC CONDITIONS DOWNTOWN

A healthy downtown attracts new businesses, creates jobs, and strengthens service and retail markets. By diversifying the business mix and recruiting new businesses, dollars that would be spent elsewhere are spent locally. The Downtown Tipp City Partnership strives to enhance, preserve, and promote the downtown historical area, to bring together diverse organizations and to foster growth, business development, prosperity and goodwill.
